Allendale dates for Christmas art tour

Artists in the Allendale area will be opening their studios to the public as part of the Christmas Art Tour 2008.

The Tour takes place in 20 studios between November 14 and December 15 and includes painters, potters, ceramicists, jewellery makers, photographers and craft makers.

Ceramicist Steph Jamieson will be throwing opens the doors at a former dairy at Allendale. In nearby Catton, Jos Mahon, pictured, will be opening up her studio to show work from her recent travels.

Seascape artist Sarah Riseborough will be doing the same at her Belford studio, while Carol Nunan and Rebecca Vincent will be holding open house in their converted 17th century manse in Horsley.

Other artists taking part this Christmas include Mick Oxley at Craster, Karen Willis in Morpeth and Pam Vardy in Shilbottle, plus many more.
